Willow Shelter with Bee Sculpture - 2016

A hazel and willow shelter housing a collaborative sculpture project. Working with a local secondary school, Maya led workshops where students crafted six willow bees, mirroring the size of Maya's original bee design. The shelter incorporated log seating for garden visitors. This initiative beautifully merged community engagement with site-specific art, celebrating nature within the communal growing space.
